Im back from 6hr drive Ottawa! First off, I wish we had more snow like they did in Ottawa! It's crazy that we haven't had at least 10cm of snow by almost the end of DECEMBER!

1) We met up with other Melayu ppl. They were nice.

2)omigosh! I went to the parliament house, and like I saw a lot of historical statues Mr. Breen was talking about!! I got sooo excited seeing Nellie McClung...the statue (she fought for women's rights dude!)

3)Finalllyyy...we ate at a Malay Restaurant in Canada! It was cool...

Short trip but a lot of memories!

SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDIL-ADHA!

For three days, for 12 hours each day, my family and I went to an Islamic Conference. Reviving the Islamic Spirit is a youth organization, bringing Islamic Scholars and Islamic Musicians from around the world. Last year, Raihan came. Unfortunately, they didn't come this year. But I did enjoy the music of an English revert named Hamza Robertson. He sang really well, reminded me of James Blunt. Another cool group was Outlandish a Denmark trio....they sang a song about how George Bush is a Monster . LoL...pretty entertaining actually. The song about a Palestinian girl by them was said to be played on MTV a couple of times.

The speeches varied from Islamic History to umm...political stuff. My favourite was about the successful Andalusia age. It was interesting how a part of Spain was once Islamically ruled and it was wildly successful. They had quite a technology...

Anyhow...im all tired out...I'm leaving for Ottawa tomorrow. It will be a looooooong drive up north. But heck, it's the break! I'll catch up with you guys again in 4 days!

Much love...and let the WINTER HOLIDAYS BEGIN!

The trip to Warplane Museum avec my history class was pretty fun. Well, boring actually because half the time we had a boring lecture about the planes and war and veterans and stuff. But hijacking the airplanes was fun! Michelle, Marina and I became pilots and we 'flew'
across the museum fumbling through knobs and buttons in squeaky old yellow airplanes that needed grease.

LoL...and what was funny was Mir and Courtney were picked to dress up as pilots =). It was cool!

I thought the coolest part was eating lunch by a huge Boeing 747 "Canuck plane". I was kinda scared of the planes falling on our heads. But they told me it was safe...so all's cool!

Anyhow..enjoy the picts!

Gwen Stefani is back with her new album Sweet Escape. Her new image is kinda "dull" to me. It's cool she's making up her own style and all. But I very much prefer her old one...the whole daring and kinda rebellious "hollaback" image. I guess it makes her look like a typical teenager, which appeals to me.

=) Gwen is still a cool and all but I kinda wish she's a little more like Pink. The whole confidence and determination to help end the era of "Stupid Girls" is soo damn hot! Im glad that some celebrities have the initiative to do something like this...

Anyhow...Gwen dares to be different, and I definitely salute her for that.

Im gonna have to look for her new songs cuz one of my friends told me it's pretty okay.

This unRich Girl has to go....

Someone grafittied something really insulting on our school property today.

I am disgusted. Such publicity will bring you nowhere with your problem. You just prove to be no different, or even alot worser, than your provoker. Sure you may be standing up for your rights, but by hurting someone just goes against yourself. Chances are, you'll get yourself hurt once again, and it just goes on and gets bigger...until you don't know what started the conflict. (That's one thing I have benefited from reading Romeo & Juliet..lol)

Small hatred can lead to big things. I learn that we are living in a crazy world with a potential to destruct itself. We can't afford to have another World War...another one will just mean the end of the world.

As smarter as humanity is becoming, we still inherit stupidity.

I have been told that enough NUCLEAR BOMBS have been made to destroy the whole world TEN TIMES.

North Korea has a dictator who is obsessed with nuclear..Had we not discovered the nuclear bomb, WWII may never have ended when it should. Yet if it had ended later, we may not enjoy the freedom we have today. Things will be different. A lot different.

Swallow on that fact.

Turn those fist into a handshake.
Compliment instead of criticize.
Think before acting.
Love instead of hating.
Stop the war before it starts spreading.
Learn from our mistakes.

Shafiq-spearean?!

I was just reading Hani's blog on Romeo and Juliet. She's definitely got her points right.

I must admit that R&J is one heck of a weird play. See, I love Shakespeare too...he's got some deep lines that often make me stop and think (like "My only love sprung from my only hate"..how cool is that?!).

But I think Romiette & Julio (pardon my spelling), has got their life messed up. Romeo apparently falls in love with Juliet and says he never really loved anyone but her. But that is just full of bull$%#$! (Didn't he mention that his 'heart' was with some chick named ROSALINE in the beginning?)

Love at first sight isn't love. It is infatuation. Juliet was desperate to marry Romeo without even knowing his true colours. Those things will affect them if they would have gotten married instead of die. Chances are, if the story goes on there'd be a divorce. (Wowzers! Now that'll be a cool play to watch!) There's defnitely a lesson to be learned, though. Come to think of it, Romeo and Juliet does have something in common as today's "Internet Dating". Not that I have ever had those relationship...I have a life, okay? For God's sake, those people are pedafiles for all I care! Romeo might've been a serial killer too...

So yeah, out of all the Shakespearean play, Romeo & Juliet is the funnest to act out. It helps to prove the potential a person has as an actor. But in terms of relating to reality, it pretty much stinks! Honestly, will I die because some random hot guy I met in the party (who kissed me) killed himself? (HELL NO!)

I'll have to say Hamlet and Antony & Cleopatra just may be my faves =)
I love the madness and revenge in Hamlet (he's such a determined character! How hot is that?!) Oh and true love is definitely portrayed in A&C. Besides, it's based on a true story.

Just sharing my favourite line by Shakespeare from As You Like It :

"All the world's a stage,And all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances,And one man in his time plays many parts,His acts being seven ages."
-Shakespeare.

Im wide awake and it is waaay past my bedtime. Time now is 10:40. Must be high on something...

Man, I'm gonna be really fat one day. I ate too many deep fried chicken today, plus a lot of other sugary junk. To add that I am also in the Personal Fitness program in school, only make me look more like a hypocrite. This is life, eh? Can't hide from the bad stuff. I admit that I am not fat, but I am not too skinny either.

One of my girlfriends in school told me to not worry much about what I eat. (Well really, I don't watch what I eat!) She thinks I'm skinny enough to be part of Canada's Next Top Model. Hey, becoming a model sounds like FUN! You get to try out new clothes everytime and experiment with make-up. Only, it will be as good as "selling out my body".

Anyhow...my biggest fear is to have my arteries clogged up. Anyhow...I'll worry more later. Sugár's running low. Ciao my darlings!! <33

I just chatted with one of my friend who is in a "Love" dilemma. He asked me for advice because the girl he loves doesn't feel the same (love) way about him.

Problem:
1) I have been "infatuated" but never really fallen in "love"
(hehe i learned that big word in English today...starting Romeo & Juliet, you know?)

2) I usually give up about how I feel about someone (because I think I have a life?)

3) Love is a pain in the (fill in the blank)

But, I told him to GO FOR IT! (if he thinks she's worth waiting for, that is)

Because also I think this statement: "You can make urself fall in love with someone. But u can't make someone fall in love with you" <---that is just BULL...cuz things happens. Love happens. U can make it happen. Life is all about making things happen (wat the hell am i saying?!)

Ugghh!! why am i soo lovey and mushy today?! Well, that's cuz I am all messed and I'm bored out of my witsssss!! Stupid cold.....

SOMEBODY! Save me!!

Aww...one of my brown-honey, Madiha, is leaving for Abu Dhabi in January! =(

Anyhow, we threw a Farewell partay for her over the weekend. It was pretty whacked & fancy! Cool stuff, you know? We had lots of ice-cream and cake to eat, and lots of "acting" going on. We had Madiha dress as a groom and we got her married..."brown-style!". Totally awesome!

We also had a "Mississauga's Next Top Model" show..lol..Checkitout the picts!
